On the road again.

In retrospect, it made sense. Someone unauthorized is reading your journal? Sick of the old one? Need a fresh start? Why not start a new journal, from scratch, and see if that alleviates the problems?

Which I did -- this one. It took care of the first problem (in conjunction with said person moving to a new job), but the others…hmmmm. The jury is out on that.

I figured that starting a new journal and ending the old one might reinvigorate my writing. Which it didn't. A mere change of venue did not alleviate my problems: those of you who have been reading throughout the summer have shared in my discovery that there are probably other things wrong with me.

The truth is that I've never warmed up to the new name. I miss using the title "Duck-Shaped Pain," and transferring it to this new one just didn't seem right (even in the half-assed way I tried to do it: see your title car above). The DSP name seems so…site-specific. It was sort of a rash decision to move, the first of many as of late, but one that is at least correctable.

So. This will be the last entry in here. Further entries will now appear at the other site. I've tried to integrate the two as much as the Diaryland setup permits: old entries from here are linked over there. I've tried to treat the two sites as part of the same thing, and hopefully it will work. DSP has a new design, too, with an honest-to-god picture of a duck on it (a first!).

Sorry about the confusion as of late. I realize that it is inconvenient at best for readers to have to keep switching sites and changing links and bookmarks. And I realize that my entries in here have been lackluster at best. I don't know if the change back to the old site will do anything to change that, but I think writing under the proper DSP name will ingratiate me to journal-writing once again.

So, on to better things.
